Graduated Fashion Week Show

G.F.W- Students from different fashion school gather together to showcase their collection as their graduate show. People are interested to discover new talents.

As you walk into the convention center, the room is divided into different sections representing the designers from each school and also information about the school if you were interested. Each booth presents the sample of the designers collections and fabric, look book, inspiration board, sketches, etc.
It's mesmerizing to look at the visual display/presentation and the details that went into few of my favorite pieces, you couldn't help it but to be inspired. There were plenty of new concepts that I haven't seen before. Found a school where you can get your BA in hair/makeup/styling in South Hampton.

Incredible visual display

PRUDENCE MILLINERY

**Prudence Millinery
Prudence is an exquisite hat designer for Vivienne Westwood since 1989. She makes everything absolutely by hand! She started off as a buyer then became a stylist then switched to designing knit wear but she found her true calling as a milliner and apprenticed for 7 years to learn how to design and make hats with no modern technology. She expresses her passion as a milliner since there's aren't so many out there anymore. This is Prudence holding her very first Italian Vogue featuring her work from 1990.
Q: How do you keep yourself inspired?

A: I JUST AM! Prudence answers with such conviction. She says she is always inspired. She appreciates old collections, films, museums, exhibitions, Picasso, Balenciaga, art history, Vaticans... Anything that is beautiful and moving<3
Juicy Couture borrowed one of Prudence's hat for their ad.

Men's hairband made with real hair.
Hand sewn hat designed for her clients in Japan.

This is made for a Japanese Princess with Vivienne Westwood's silk fabric. You can see the intricate design if you look closely. Every hat takes about 8-60 hours depending on how detailed the work is.

 **OLD ROSE**
made with pineapple fibers.
Hand made silk flower petals

Prudence's favorite out of all her collections

For Yohji Yamamoto- made with ostridge feathers

**Advice from Prudence: "Always try to work for the top, best companies. Be persistant on your dreams."
